Congratulations and best of luck for 2011.
— Fraternally,
Richard J. Downing, PM
Secretary, Mission Lodge No. 169
November brings us yet closer to the end of our year! It is an important month, both for our Lodge and the nation in general. This is the month when we celebrate Veterans Day; a time to pause, remember, and thank the Lord Almighty for the Veterans who put their lives on the line for the cause of freedom and liberty.
FROM THE JUNIOR WARDEN…
Harmony is the strength and support of all societies, especially among Masons. This tenet should always be practiced in every Lodge and that can only be achieved if there is unity among our members. We can never have the harmony that Masons everywhere, are so proud of, if our members are fragmented and divided on issues of race, color, religion and sometimes even sexual orientation.
From the time that we join our fraternity we are made to understand that this brotherhood is the cement which unites us into one Sacred band or society of friends and brothers among whom no contention should ever exist but that noble contention of who best can work and best agree. We are also a brotherhood of men under the fatherhood of God.
